This Little L has some of the best ad-libs I've heard. Maybe the best recorded version, even better than Verona. In fact this concert might be better than Verona simply because they are looser and take more risks. Clearly they knew Verona was being recorded for a live album/live concert film. Here in Milan they're just deeper in the funky groove, although his voice gets tired at the end of this show (Virtual Insanity).

As a semi recent fan who was not alive when hamiroquai was in their prime, going back and watching old performances, the ones on tv shows or talk shows were always the most boring to me because they're so plain and vanilla. There's no flavor, no boldness. He just gets up there sings the song, 3 minutes later, songs done. The jamming and improvising just adds so much
